As the Founder and Chief Marketing Guru of Thought Leader Creative, Janel Sykora is no stranger to navigating the landscape of professional services sales and marketing. With a remarkable 30-year journey and a deep knowledge of the business challenges accounting firms face, she has dedicated her expertise to empowering firms in the tax, accounting, and bookkeeping sectors. Her mission? To craft and implement ground-breaking marketing strategies that not only resonate but also drive exponential growth.
As Janel’s consulting business grew, she knew it was time to add a partner with a complimentary skill set and drive for having an impact in the public accounting space. After working closely together for nearly two years, Janel and her partner, Brad Pinzur, came together and founded Cajabra. Previously Thought Leader Creative, Cajabra offers a proprietary software solution and an expanded suite of marketing and process automation solutions to accounting firms.
Janel resides in the Tampa, Florida area with her husband Rick. She's a proud mother to two wonderful daughters. And if you're counting paws, add four more canine kids to the mix! When she's not implementing marketing strategies to transform accounting firms, you might find her soaking up the sun on the beach, paddleboarding, playing pickleball, or scuba diving.
Brad Pinzur sold and built his first professional website in 1997 going door to door to local businesses in New Orleans while majoring in communication at Tulane University. This was one year before Google was founded and so he likes to claim he was "doing SEO" before it was called SEO. Late that same year Brad moved to Miami where he helped launch Perfumania’s first e-commerce website on Superbowl Sunday in 1999. He later became the CTO of GAINSWave which was eventually acquired by Grant Cardone's 10X Health.
In 2006, Brad founded Semantics Marketing to help small businesses establish and maintain their web presence while leveraging the power of search. With over 25 years of website development and online marketing experience, Brad learned that one of the biggest bottlenecks and reasons that businesses are unable to reach their potential is due to poor messaging. With Janel's expertise in communication, accounting, and business development, Brad soon found the final piece to the puzzle. It didn't take long to realize that together they could provide tremendous value to accounting firms and so Cajabra was born.
Originally from White Plains, NY, Brad now lives with his wife in Boca Raton, FL. He has one daughter, a thriving undergrad majoring in hospitality at FSU, and two cats, Pico and Mochi. Brad loves to play golf, enjoy delicious food experiences, and travel...especially to Italy.
